Level 1 Performing Manufacturing Operations (PMO)

The Level 1 PMO provides learners with a broad understanding of manufacturing processes, workplace expectations, and health & safety practices. It focuses on helping individuals become confident and competent in supporting roles within a production setting, making it a great starting point for those with little or no prior experience.

It is also highly valued by employers as a gateway qualification that builds job-ready skills and encourages good work habits from the outset.

This qualification is suitable for:

• School leavers (16+) looking to develop hands-on skills in manufacturing or engineering
• Adult learners or career changers seeking to enter the sector
• Employers who want to upskill new recruits or prepare staff for progression into apprenticeships

Learners will cover key areas such as:

• Working safely in manufacturing environments
• Understanding lean manufacturing principles
